OGGSLØ – In a turn of events that surprised absolutely no one with a functioning eyeball or even a semi-moist sense of logic, the fine cesspit of Oggslø has once again ground to a complete, screeching halt—this time thanks to what the Troll Department of Weather Minimization refers to as “a brief, non-threatening drizzle.”
Let me be perfectly clear: it was glorious. A soft, miserable mist fell upon the city, soaking cobblestones, seeping into boots, and temporarily giving the illusion that the world still holds some semblance of sorrow. Tragically, it also revealed (once again) the entire city’s infrastructure is made of wet cardboard, despair, and bureaucratic glue.
Traffic? Paralyzed. Trolls spun helplessly on slick roads as if they’d never seen moisture before, even though it’s rained every week since the Swamp Age. One confused goblin commuter was found screaming into a puddle for directions. Another simply abandoned his cart and accepted the mud as his new home. Sensible.
Meanwhile, local officials held a six-hour emergency meeting to determine whether drizzle qualifies as “precipitation.” Nothing was decided, of course, except for a motion to reschedule next week’s Cobblestone Realignment Ceremony (again). At this point, I assume we’ll just bury the roads under wet moss and call it modern.
Not to be outdone by the chaos, a group of hopeful sunshine-seekers gathered in Oggslø’s Town Square to “manifest better weather with positivity.” They were immediately drenched and scattered like soggy pastries. Good.
In brighter news—by which I mean darker and damper—a forecast of continuous grey skies and heavier rainfall is expected by midweek. I, for one, couldn’t be more thrilled. Maybe this city will finally sink into the boggy grave it deserves.
Until then, we wait. Drenched, miserable, and exactly as we should be.
Dripping in disdain,
